“Please help save the Convent of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We are humbly asking for your help in saving their beautiful and historic Mother House Convent located in Los Angeles. Over these many years, the Motherhouse has provided much-needed aid and comfort to our local community. Sister Catherine Rose of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Catholic nuns have helped serve the poor and less fortunate, hosted spiritual retreats, held fundraisers for local charities, sheltered battered women, and ministered to the sick and the needy.
They are at the brink of losing their beloved Mother House Convent as the home was taken over by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and they were evicted from the Convent, losing the ability to host religious retreats and therefore putting an end to all other sources of revenue for the nuns. Now, the Archdiocese wants to sell the Convent and keep the proceeds.
These women desperately need some help with their legal fees as they continue to fight for their right to be recognized as the rightful owners or their own Convent property that they, the Immaculate Heart Sisters, bought in 1971 with the income that was earned as teachers and educators in the parochial schools of Los Angeles.
Please help in donating to a cause that is near and dear to our hearts.”
